Where do they go in for asending aortic surgery?

@bobjoeseph: What is a partial open heart surgery, never heard that one before. But what I have heard is a lot of what seem to be excuses for not scheduling me even for a CT scan or an ultrasound. And these are two of the biggest hospitals in AZ. At 89 I began wondering if the two or so medical facilities are just not wanting to take on a person of my age. Then you came along and cleared my mind of that one. Thank you.

I don't fully understand "partial" open heart surgery other than because of my age, the docs do have alternatives to fully open heart surgery. I live in a Chicago suburb and Northwestern Hospital, a top ten in the country, also has refused to operate on me if and when necessary! They apparently want to protect their morbidity stats as our ages do come into play. Suggest you consider contacting Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Kaprovanic 216-445-5932. His nurse Jean is very helpful as are everyone else involved. Best of luck.
