Good Morning, I am 62 and going through post menopause. I also, have hashmoto's disease (Thyroid) Hypo. About one month ago my son noticed a bald spot on top back of my head. Then I found other small bald spots in other areas of my head. I have been losing hair since I had Covid in 2020. However, I have had covid 4 times. I did start to lose my hair in 2021. But, no bald spots. I only take my Synthroid Medicine and protein drinks and vitamins. I went to the doctor had lab test done. ALL GOOD! They referred me to a dermatologist. I haven't gone yet. I started some hair care products like rosemary oil and shampoos. Also, looking at hair wig clips. My hair feels thicker but still bald spots. I don't take any pain medication. I don't know if it is from having covid or post menopause. Either way very upsetting. Thank you for listening, prayers and peace.

@missbeverly I have had these small bald spots three times in my life. First two times the dermatologist injected steroid into the spot. Third time I ignored.
I was told they were an autoimmune phenomenon. I now have mild hypothyroidism, and osteoporosis. I am also on BHRT since 8/25, at the age of 68.
I really feel absolutely very well.

@missbeverly I was diagnosed as hypothyroid at age 37. I had classic symptoms and hair loss is common. Been on Synthroid ever since. In the last year or longer, I began losing hair again; very frustrating. Thyroid numbers are normal. Then last July was diagnosed with osteoporosis and started on Tymlos in September; hair still dropping. But here's my difference: I doubled my protein intake because I also have malabsorption issues with chronic pancreatitis. So with thyroid sluggishness and gastric challenges my body was not getting the proper nutrients despite a good diet. Bad for osteoporosis and bad for my hair. Take a look at your diet. I recently doubled my protein intake and managed to gain much needed weight. Hair fallout seems to be slowing a bit. A smart doctor told me to make every bite count!
