@mswanda I’ve only tried *with* THC, & it is the only effective treatment I’ve found so far for restless leg syndrome for me.
That being said, I have an extremely high tolerance, so I have to take a heavy dose before bed, but it will work every time (the only time it hasn’t is when I started taking Cymbalta which made me seemingly immune to any of the normal effects I get from THC).
I was probably 24 or 25 when I realized that was why I was having better sleep compared to when I was in my late teens & early 20’s, I fell asleep at the wheel a couple of times & even actively hallucinated at the wheel due to such bad sleep deprivation (none of these days had I realized just how tired I was). I haven’t hallucinated since I started being able to use weed more regularly at 22, & I haven’t fallen asleep at the wheel again either.
The problem is now that I’m getting older (28), I’m starting to get occasional day time symptoms as well. This is normally fine if I have to work, because I stand & move around anyway at work, so I don’t need the weed then & obviously can’t anyway, bc I’m at work.
At home, though, it can be a bit of a pain in the day, because I could take more weed but then risk my daily nighttime dose not being strong enough. The dose strength issues probably wouldn’t affect most people, though. From what I understand, I have kind of a monster tolerance.
@adinfinitum I take tizanidine 4mg at 8pm with my other pills for restless legs. If by 10pm I get no relief, I take a 2mg tablet. That usually does the trick so I can get to sleep. However, if I took a 4mg at 10pm instead of a half dose, I hallucinate.
