Thinking of you with all you've been through. Your post is helpful to others. I wonder if you have Heel Protectors? They are thick and soft, just strap over your foot and keep your ankles from pressure. If you have a good pharmacy, they might have these in their section for surgery/recovery. Or, ask your doctor and they might be covered.
