I have somehow torn a knee meniscus and the knee is prone to become unstable. I can be walking relatively normally and then I am in excruciating pain and can’t put weight on that leg. Or my knee suddenly collapses.

So I bought a cane, but I describe it as akin to walking someone else’s Dog. If I suddenly need it I fear I would have to first recall that I have it in my hand. Plus I tend to walk fast and it just looks silly with the cane. Donyou think a walking stick might be more natural?

@pb50

I have a cane single foot and another four feet ,and a walking staff. I use the walking staff daily except when I am flying. The single foot can collapse to a 12 inch bundle and fit in my backpack. Using the cane gets early boarding on planes. The quad-foot does not break down and is harder to stow on planes.

My walking staff is from a tree limb. I am trying to figure a way to add a light at the top. I had a hard glass ball that will fit over the light and glue to the top of the staff. I have used it when I do role playing in Live Adventure--I am a LARPer of the few rules variety and a lot of improv.
