@gingerw. There's an over-the-counter supplement, Lithium Orotate. I have taken on and off over the years. It does not have the side-effect of the prescription Lithium. If you're taking prescription Lithium, be careful adding it. I recommend taking it between your regular doses. It comes in 10 mg. capsules. I suggest you open it up and only take half (5mg.) of the capsules. I've experienced no side effects with 5 mg. If I take 10 mg., It can make me sleepy and yawn a lot. It has a calming effect. I only take it when I know I'm going to have a stressful day. Read up on the Lithium Orotate and you may discover it's helpful for you.
