Hi
I had an SBO the result of adhesions from an operation for ovarian cancer. The SBO resulted in a two week stay in hospital nearly two years ago. So I try to be very careful with what I eat with an emphasis on small meals and no nuts or seeds. I take both Metamucil every day (teaspoon) and Miralax every night. It has worked for me. My doctor said it is ok to keep taking both. I do get occasional cramping in which case I cut out the Metamucil for a short time. I also take one tablet of Senna. This might seem like too much for some people but everyone is different. So taking both Metamucil and Miralax the same day is fine for me!

@janetwass, It sounds like you have come up with a great plan for dealing with the effects of surgery. I have had three surgeries of the upper digestive tract, and also take a variety of products.

How long ago was your surgery?
