Hello @hilsher, welcome to Connect. Trying nine different meds in two years sounds both frustrating and exhausting. While we can't offer medical advice on Mayo Clinic Connect, we can introduce you to other members who may be able to share their experiences to offer insight and an understanding ear.
I would like to invite @cathy615, @henrymb, and @sistergoldenhair to this discussion to share their experiences with lithium.
@hilsher, I may be able to invite some others to this discussion that share your experience if you would tell us a bit more about yourself. If you are comfortable, do you mind sharing why you were on lithium for 30 years? After stopping your lithium, what other meds did you try?

Hello @yellowings Good to have you here! Welcome, too, since we are all 'uninvited', but rather found Connect by various paths. Glad pur paths are crossing here!

Interesting topic @yellowings I struggled for three years working for a narcissist and they were some of the worst years of my career.

Uninvited here, I've had a history of 25 yrs with lithium for bipolar disorder. Downside, weight gain, tremors, hypothyroidism. But it does regulate moods effectively. Thank you for your work. Best wishes.
