My oncologist said that acupuncture worked for perhaps 80% of his patients. I had three sessions, and the therapy greatly reduced the number and intensity of the hot flashes. After a few months the effect was wearing off, so I went for a couple more sessions, and it was effective. Throughout my time on ADT, however, I did find that staying warm was a challenge. Even on a warm summer evening, I would need a sweatshirt.
