Hi, I began to feel a bit unsure about my foot placement on the pedals. I voluntarily decided to stop driving. I was only 58 yrs old. It was a bit devastating but I could not fathom risking someone else's life.

I tried everything I could(short of all the scams out there) to try to regain the numbness in my feet but reality has set in. It is not going to get any better, at least not in the near future.

A friend recommended I try care.com to find a person that would be interested in driving me to run errands, go to doctor appointments, shopping, etc...
It worked out really well. I pay her 25/hr and she helps me as needed. Way cheaper and easier than taking a taxi or Uber.

I am 62 now and I am looking into adaptive driving devices and training.

I wish you all the best and wish you the strenght to make the right decision, if the time should come, to stop driving.
