Good Morning,
Your story sounds very similar to mine.
I also had BAD pain in both my legs but worse in my left.
I also had BAD pain that turned out to be coming from my neck AND back.
With me, I was being woken up with violent headaches every day.
I tried shots and radio frequency ablation (burning nerves).
These things did not help at all.
After getting shots for over 5 years in my lower back, those stopped working, too.
I decided to go see a neuro-surgeon.
I did not want an ortho-surgeon to work on my spine and close to my brain.
The surgeon said the neck (cervical spine) was worse and we should take care of that, too.
At the end of February, I had C4/5 replaced with an artificial disc.
The headaches went away, but the pain in my shoulder and arm.
One week ago today, I had surgery on my lumbar spine (L3/4).
I think the pain I had prior to the surgery is almost gone, but I have new pain due to the surgery
This kind of surgery impacts the nerves and all can be temporary.
However, the pain in my arm is doing better.
This surprises me. But I'll take it.
I have to admit that the first surgery on my cervical spine healed much better and did not give me the kind of pain this surgery is giving me.
I don't like surgery, no one does, but if it clears up the acute pain, I'll live with the surgical pain.

Good luck!
Hope y ou have a pain free day!
Ronnie (GRANDMAr)
