@berekann, I told my doctor when he was pressuring me to get off Ativan that he is partially responsible for my dependency and he disagreed, he said that he prescribed them to me when I was younger, this made no sense whatsoever. In the past six years he was not well and he would reduce my dose without talking to me and then when the cancer returned he would increase my dosage, it was agonizing mentally and physically, I rarely saw him and just before he retired I saw him to say goodbye because I felt sorry for him and I knew that he wasn’t well, on this visit he said that no other doctor will ever give me these pills because they don’t prescribe them anymore and then he said that I was addicted to Ativan long before I came to him, of course this wasn’t true but I didn’t argue with him because it didn’t really matter anymore, I felt that he just didn’t want to be responsible for anything negative in his years of practice.
