You are keenly body aware. My neurologist believes that my neuropathy is related to my celiac disease which, fortunately, has not affected my digestive system, but rather my nerves. I was doing very well with a gluten-free diet to the point where I hardly noticed my neuropathy at all. But then I had a small surgery for a lesion removed off my shin (it was benign), and, at same time, extremely cold weather and snow came to NYC. I believe those events made my neuropathy worse. My neurologist said I need to wear warmer footwear. I am hoping that with temperature moderation in spring, my neuropathy will improve again. I believe being active can help and I certainly did too much sitting around while we had bitterly cold temps. If I went out my hands would numb up in short time. Perhaps relocating to a warmer part of US is on the horizon. We will see... And like you, I embrace the importance of prayer.

@aml25 There is an organization called The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. New studies are being conducted all the time for answers to this plague. They don’t get big bucks from the government so it’s slow going. You can check them out by doing a search on this site. We are all in this thing together, amigo. If you have any questions about the treatments I have had, ask away.
