Anyone been prescribed Ohtuvayre (new med)? Your experience?

I have been on ohtuvayre for a couple of months now and it has been a miracle worker. Within two weeks of the first dose, I was able to breathe again after a year of serious SOB. I was shocked. No real side effects. I also have bronchiectasis and MAC along with COPD. It’s o trials right now for bronchiectasis because of the positive outcomes that are coming from COPD. My PFT also increased. It’s a win win for me.

@jmcasbar Thanks- So glad to hear about another approach that is helping! Sounds like you have had no significant negative effects?
That’s awesome very happy for you, it was the same for me but as of September I went back to not breathing great, waiting to get approved for another medication. @jmcasbar

@jmcasbar same as me I started it couple months ago too, it started helping after couple doses and I told my doctor it’s a miracle drug, I could breathe again but unfortunately this past September it wasn’t helping much and I went back to having breathing issues, hoping for another new medicine now, I’m glad it’s still helping you, unfortunately everyone’s body takes medications differently. Glad your doing good and continue to stay that way
