Nerve Pain In Foot after Laminectomy. Had this?

I had a discectomy of L5-L4… then a few years later L4-L3. I have neuropathy and pain in my left leg and foot. They believe it is a result of me waiting to long before first surgery and also scar tissue pressing on the nerves. They have gone in and injected fluid in an effort to break up some scar tissue. It did not work and BTW the most painful spine procedure I ever had. My back is better but I traded pains. I do not take pain meds of any type anymore and Gabapentin is terrible to me. I have, I suppose grown used to it… and just expect pain and weakness every day. I was a runner but I have not run in ten years. I do have to use a cane on bad days… I would certainly suggest epidural shots or RFA which is my preference…

@jet1024 hi, I was a runner too… the pain in my feet is excruciating (5 years). It began with a poorly performed laminectomy that had to be revised. By the time the revision took place it was too late. I recently had to be on my feet for much longer than I could withstand at my daughter’s wedding and now I am bedridden. It’s been 3 weeks and I know something happened. I used to be able to bear weight for a max of 3 hours and now every minute is too much. Even when I elevate, the pain doesn’t go away. I’ve had flares before but not like this. I’m at a loss because no treatment has helped. I’m hoping to come across something new in this forum. I miss running but I would settle for walking 🥹
