I too contacted Mayo Clinic early last summer (their Spine clinic) and had my records sent down to them. I live in MN, was born in Rochester. They told me it would be 2 weeks before I would hear from them, as they had to have the drs review my records. Well, I waited and waited, and then decided to go more local (I live in northern MN) and made an appointment with a hospital a couple towns away. Had some consults, and they scheduled my surgery (L4-L5 fusion) Sept 10, which was the earliest I could get in. Meantime, finally got a call from a lady at Mayo and I just matter-of-factly told her that I was very disappointed in how long it took to get a response, so I made other arrangements. Boy, am I glad I did! I had a super spine surgeon from CRMC in Crosby MN, Dr James Stokman. Highly recommend. Very skilled, great medical credentials. Feel free to contact me for more details.
