I too contacted Mayo Clinic early last summer (their Spine clinic) and had my records sent down to them. I live in MN, was born in Rochester. They told me it would be 2 weeks before I would hear from them, as they had to have the drs review my records. Well, I waited and waited, and then decided to go more local (I live in northern MN) and made an appointment with a hospital a couple towns away. Had some consults, and they scheduled my surgery (L4-L5 fusion) Sept 10, which was the earliest I could get in. Meantime, finally got a call from a lady at Mayo and I just matter-of-factly told her that I was very disappointed in how long it took to get a response, so I made other arrangements. Boy, am I glad I did! I had a super spine surgeon from CRMC in Crosby MN, Dr James Stokman. Highly recommend. Very skilled, great medical credentials. Feel free to contact me for more details. You don't always have to go to the 'Big Guys' to get great results, trust me. Best wishes!

@northstar25 the reason I picked The Big Guys was my harrington rod makes me complicated so surgery will be tricky if possible - Pittsburgh docs will not do surgery. I would be interested in your doctor names - contact to ask !
