Role of Fish Oil in Reducing Cancer Growth (study)
A recent study comparing a group of men on active surveillance taking a Fish Oil capsule with a similar group not taking Fish Oil showed the Fish Oil group had a 15% reduction in a measure of cancer cell growth while the other group had a 24% rise. The Fish Oil group also had guidance about eating healthier food while the other group did not get food guidance. (Source: Journal of Clinical Oncology, March 2025)
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39671538/My recommendation is to get a QUALITY Fish Oil Capsule. Mine is sourced from Norwegian waters and tested thoroughly (more expensive than those cheap ones).

@chippydoo I am taking OmegaVia Brand. ChatGPT recommends the following based on purity: Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega, Viva Naturals Triple-Strength and OmegaVia Ultra Concentrate. All are more expensive than those found on-line or at Costco. They said to look for "third party testing"and certifications like IFOS. Good Luck.

Hey "angelhimself" ; ), thanks for trying to help with my statin troubles.
The side effect that I experienced was an insomnia O_O ! I could not sleep at all ! It was the weirdest feeling and I would not wish it upon anybody . By night 3 I was freaking out since I had no idea what is going on - my doctor never mentioned that that was one of possible side effects @*@%^%^@* . Luckily on day 3 I decided to check a full list of Crestor side effects and lo a behold that was one of them.
And not only that, I discovered that my husband has one other rare side effect since he switched to Crestor from Lipitor upon doctor's suggestion . He developed vision problems and was very worried that something serious is happening to his eyes . One of Crestor's side effects is: - double vision and blurry vision. As soon as he stopped using Crestor his vision got immediately normal !
There is no way I would ever take Crestor again, nor will my husband. Actually I will not take any statins period- there are new studies that show that senior women with elevated cholesterol have lower mortality "of any cause" and have less dementia. My husband is back on Lipitor and has no side effects. I think that it is unconscionable that doctors do not warn patients about ALL possible side effects and so nonchalantly prescribe statins.
Thanks so much for finding time to write to me and for trying to help < 3 : ))).
I am glad to hear that Crestor works for you nicely and may it stay that way forever : ))) !
