I’m worried about my husband. He has been diagnosed with MCI and is on 50 mg daily of Zoloft. I don’t see any improvement in his anxiety and I do see a decline in his cognitive ability.

Is he on any other meds? I took Zoloft for many years without problems and then was prescribed tramadol for back pain. Ding dong......After a few months I became very irritable, depressed again. I stopped the Tramadol (on my own..doctors don't always listen to what I am saying so I make my own decisions after investigating, especial on Mayo Clinic. ) I no longer had issues with grumpiness, impatience, etc. From that time on I do a drug interaction review before taking newly prescribed meds. You'd be surprised what you find. Hope this helps.

@ellen51 i am NOT a doctor. I have MCI. I had been on zoloft a long time ago..it was later switched to fluvoxamine which i still take. A neuroligist later added Dinezipuel which has worked wonders.
We are all different ofcourse..but check with a good neurologist.
