There are all different types of Breast Cancer. Mine was HER2 + Estrogen/Progesterone . I was also stage 0 grade 2, but it had invaded my milk duct. I was told best scenario for me was a lumpectomy and to remove the lymph nodes under my arm pit on that side. There was no sign of it spreading there. However, as it crept into my duct cancer cells could have spread anywhere in my body. So I was on Cemo Abrazane and a Hormone suppressor for 14 weeks and 6 months more for the second infusion. Then 10 radiation treatments. I am on Leteozol pills now for at least 5 yers. I did go for a second opinion. Mine 2nd was Fox Chase and their opinion was the same as the original Oncologist. However, I did choose Fox Chase as I felt more comfortable with that doctor. The 1st Oncologist was not upset and wished me well. So, as all breast cancers are different I would get your second opinion and ask all of the questions and then make your decision. Remember that they know best as they have yrs and yrs of trials to go by and percentages of outcomes. I am thankful that mine was in the stage it was in and I had my mammogram this last Nov and all was clear. However, I myself would not mind getting MRIs to be sure, Best Wishes to you

@dinnamm thank you for sharing. 🙂 Rejoicing that your mammogram was clear. I'm sure that was a big relief. Hate that you have to take all the medications.... but stage 0 or not, as i told someone the other day... cancer is cancer... We just have to do and choose the best options for us girls. Continued prayers for negative tests in the future.!
