Thank JC for additional info and advice : )) !
I will look for wild caught cold water sourced fish oil < 3

My doctor is pestering me about high cholesterol and for years was chasing me to start taking statins . I "succumbed" to his pressure and tried Crestor in September but unfortunately I had horrible side effects as soon as I started taking it. : (
I am at normal weight and have a healthy diet so there is not much I can do beside trying some supplements and see how it goes.

I am glad to hear that for years now your lipid panel is looking great : )) -may it stay that way forever : ))) !

I had quadruple heart bypass 14 years ago. Had many different statins prior and since. I've been on Crestor and Zetia for years now. Here's what I need to do to prevent muscle problems: Take 10mg (1/2 of a 20mg tab) 3 times a day plus the 10 mg Zetia once a day... PLUS CoQ10, currently about 1200 mg total over the day. I found that 30mg of Crestor at once was too much, so I split the tabs and metered it out over the day. And be aggressive with CoQ10. I don't use the expensive version. Once in a while I have some lower back pain before getting out of bed, but it resolves immediately upon standing. Might not even be related to the statin, but possibly bowels.
