@ray666 that's an interesting question. I had never heard of it, but I take Amlodipine twice daily. and a handful of other prescribed meds. I'll ask my health provider also.

Hello, jms1954 (@jms1954)

If Amlodipine is in any way responsible for my added and most recent balance difficulties, it may just mean that I am super-vulnerable to certain, but not all, of Amlodipine's side effects. Here is a severely edited list of the side effects taken from Mayo's list (where you'll find dozens and dozens of side effects, a few common, most rare); I've listed only those that might have some bearing on my troublesome balance:

More common:
swelling of the ankles or feet
Less common:
dizziness
Rare:
joint or muscle pain
shakiness in the legs, arms, hands, or feet
unsteadiness or awkwardness
unusual tiredness or weakness
weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet
Incidence not known:
loss of balance control
shuffling walk

I'll be talking with my PCP on Monday about this matter. I'll post what she has to say.

Cheers!
