how to sleep??

Posted by tisme @tisme, 1 day ago

I am so fed up with not being able to sleep at the right time. been awake since 4.30am or there abouts this morning, when I do that I often take ages to get back to sleep. . fell asleep about 6pm tonight. I try not to. if I go to bed at 6pm then I am up at midnight. its crazy.
I get exercise n such, but it doesn't help.

My Hubs and I take Magnesium Glycinate and it works very well. He had worse sleep problems than I did but it works for both of us. If we wake up during the night we take it again and go right back to sleep. I'm 68 and have read that most people my age are low on Magnesium.
There are several forms of Magnesium but its the Glycinate that promotes sleep.
Works great for us!

@georgescraftjr I order off Amazon.. https://a.co/d/01DM51eL

I bought a different brand once and it didn't work. So now I stick with this brand.

@sandy8043
I have taken magnesium glycinate in liquid and tablet forms. It can assist with sleep; however, please research not only the spacing of supplements and prescriptions, but also their interactions.
I take two meds for cervical dystonia, but I need to take Citracal, D3, K2, Potassium, and somehow fit Magnesium back in. Haven’t figured out a good spacing as yet.

There are many articles online that talk about magnesium and how it can interact with other drugs.

@pmhpesp5 Thanks for posting this. I'm curious about it also. Dr advocated for this several times, but I've been hesitant. I want to get off of some drugs before I introduce more. Goal is to get off all but one and learn to adapt. Good night reading!
