Anyone deal with PAD

I am a 75 year old woman, diagnosed with PAD 2 years ago. I realize I should exercise. However, I also have spinal stenosis and CHF both of which make walking (or any upright weight bearing activity) difficult at best. My maximum walk per day is about 3/4 mi. Would a seated exerciser like a seated elliptical work in place of walking?

Hi, @jkb2 I imagine trying to figure out how to best maintain your conditions feels a little bit like threading a needle. Congratulations on walking 3/4 miles every day.

I do not have PAD, nor medical training. I have been managing circulation symptoms and understand how staying as active and strong as I can provides me my best quality of life. I love your ideas to use a seated elliptical. Other thoughts, maybe water therapy or working with a physical therapist.

I am tagging @udayan who may have ideas from their experience working around a healing foot.

Does your doctor have recommendations for you?
