The pill contains 24 strains of bacteria - including many varieties of lactobacillus that are the ones you find in yogurt. lactobacillus has been the mainstay of making yogurt for millenia.
Yogurt is especially beneficial for those who are lactose intolerant! The lactobacillus and other strains break down lactose proteins into glucose and galactose. You will have no diarrhea or lactose intolerance symptoms after drinking yogurt.
I became lactose intolerant after being given Clindamycin by a doctor in 2009. After 3 years of making my own yogurt, I gained back my lactose tolerance and since 2012, I have been able to drink milk, eat cheese, dairy, ice cream, etc with no problem.
You take a gallon of milk (whole or 0% doesn't matter). Bring it to a boil (over 185 deg F). Do it in a double boiler or milk will burn. Boiling kills existing bacteria. Very imp. Let it cool to 110 to 120 deg. Open a few pill capsules and dump probiotic powder into milk. stir vigorously. Put it in an insulated place to keep it's warmth. I use the space inside an oven when it's turned off. Do not disturb it for next 6 hours.
You should see the top surface turn from liquid into jelly like firmness. that's it!
I know yogurt will help with lactose intolerance and IBS, but not sure it will help with MC.
@knvdo2 There are different types of yogurt. The ones containing lactose contain milk from cows. Cow milk is for baby cows. I was born lactose intolerant 72 years ago so I am not going to try to change it up now. Plus, my husband will not allow me into his kitchen. 😁
