@llynch17056 GOOD POINT! And I wonder whether my body actually needs the LDL and lowering the reading causes the horrible side effects?. Maybe some bodies do and others don’t need high LDL. Maybe it is genetic, like Northern tribes need more, but their numbers get averaged with other people’s numbers and we have results for an average body, not a real body in the real world.

Speculation is not medicine, but I do it anyway.

@tatiana987 exactly my thoughts. I’ve read a lot of studies that indicate that numbers aren’t the whole answer. The doctors get a number and put you on statins. All that matters is a number, but it’s more complex than that. Some people live normal healthy long lives with a higher number, it’s normal for them. I don’t think you can live a healthy life sitting in a recliner eating fast food and obese with high numbers. I just don’t think the number tells the whole story. I’m not talking statins or Repatha again. I’m ok if I die.
