Hello all, resurrecting this old thread, I guess. I'm 58 and about 4 months ago started TRT involving testosterone pellets. I had been on t-injections for over a year with no issues, but a friend at work uses the pellets and talked me into it. About 6 weeks into the pellets I started having this paresthesia like you all are suffering from. Same events bring it on, about to sweat and the feeling of pins and needles/hot flashes all over or localized to hands, feet, back, chest, sides, lets, scalp, face, etc. They last anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute or two. The caffeine issue interests me because around the same time I had greatly increased my coffee drinking. I wonder how long it would take to resolve itself if it were caffeine. I take zyrtec or claritin but don't really notice any effect from it. Some days are worse than others. If I have night sweats, I'm awakened by the pins and needles, burning, itching and have to get up and walk around and cool off. I was short sleeved in 20 degree weather the other day at work because I didn't want to break a sweat when clearing out some ice after a storm. It's unnerving. I have been diagnosed with low Vitamin D but I've been that way for years. Vitamin D is in range now. This neuropathy has only come about after the testosterone pellets and coffee increase. I go to a low-t clinic and they don't have any idea. My blood tests came back in range with the other hormones.....estradiol and progesterone. Vitamin B12 was in the high range, but I had gotten a B12 shot.

@levelup an UPDATE: I got a round of vaccines last August/September consisting of Flu, RSV, and Pneumonia. I did some digging and apparently the RSV vaccine is thought to give PN symptoms after a certain number of days, I believe it was around 36-42, but not sure exactly. This would coincide with when I started experiencing PN. Going to talk to my provider more about it, but if anyone else has had vaccines and then sometime later, can be months, developed PN, then this could be of some help to you.
