As @panarosmith said, "you've got this girl!"
I'm 21 years past a stage 0, DCIS diagnoses, both breasts, at age 54. It started with a suspicious mamo (only 11 months after the previous one), followed by ultrasound, then biopsy, and finally MRI guided biopsies, 1 in each breast. All 3 biopsies were positive. It was mind numbing for awhile. Then I just put one foot in front of the other and kept on going. A month later I had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. No radiation, no chemo. I never looked back. I feel the keys to my treatment and recovery were my surgeons and their staffs. The breast surgeon and plastic surgeon were in lock-step throughout; wonderful, skilled, supportive people.
Wishing you all the best as you begin your journey!

@justlucky that's awesome !!!!! thank you for sharing... I think Im about right there.. too much life to live yet... Im 65, retired a year ago today and this past year i think my body was just detoxing from a 40 yrs of a stressful job. One that I enjoyed, but very stress filled. So I'm trying to tell myself... this next year 2026, is about what's best for me. So happy to hear that there was nothing to look back for. Forward only... That's where I am. 🙂
