I was recently diagnosed with EPI and didn’t have any symptoms until I began losing weight and having greasy stools.
Never had and still do not have any pain.

@lslogan51 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! Sounds like you were diagnosed with EPI which is the disease no one ever heard of. I suffered for 2 years with it, just figuring I ate something or someone didn’t wash their hands. Plus, I was going back and forth across country because my mother was so sick. Anyway, my neurologist ordered a colonoscopy which showed EPI. Boy, was I surprised! It’s now been 3-4 years (I have a bad memory) and I’m doing quite well as long as I remember to take creon with meals. I never had pain, either! Just remember to take creon with meals and you should be OK !
