My understanding is the stuck stool is attached on one side of the colon. So it would be like a partial damm
Then for some reason , the loose type stool behind the partial damm would spill over past the stuck stool.
So you experience diarrhea,but you also have somewhat constipated stool that is stuck on the wall
I had an abdominal X-ray to look for it. But my X-ray was normal.

I just wanted to add my experience with the stool stuck to the side of the colon….I had incontinent bm’s several times a day yet I was constipated…! It was horrible. Took laxatives for 23 days (various ones and doses) and had a clean out for a colonoscopy. Since then, I’m trying my best not to be in that situation again. So I read all these posts hungrily and I’m thankful for all the golden Nuggets of information that may help. I too have increased my fiber, although I did gradually because I have diverticulitis as well as microscopic colitis. I’m on Budesonide long-term. Praying for all those who need it!
