I was diagnosed with the same but never never have the symptoms of it. My lab work was always good till I started taking prednisone and azathioprine. My enzymes were a little bit high in one occasion but after that they are ok. Let see what the Dr. will tell on this coming Feb appointment. I don't like the Doctor either. But like you say second opinions will be the same when the look at the records. So I really don't know what to say but stay positive. If you are in Orlando area and find a trustable hepatologist let me know. Looking for a better one.

Hi, I changed hospital and doctor last July and it's made a huge difference. The new consultant is incredibly knowledgeable and actually listens.
He's supported me getting off the prednisolone and after 13 months I've been steroid free since 30.12.25. I will never go back on those vile drugs again and it shows the original Dr's decision that I must be on 10 mgs steroids for life was not only wrong but potentially quite dangerous for my long term health.
If you don't like your Dr, shop around and see if you can find one who you're more comfortable with.
I still don't accept the diagnosis and I wish I'd never started taking these drugs but I feel like I'm finally heading in the right direction.
Best wishes
