@cardigan - sorry to hear about the back pain and difficulty with sitting back at the hair salon. Ouch.
@kayabbott - have you by chance had any back pain along with your ulcerative colitis?

@lisaluicier No I do not usually have back pain with the colitis.This left sided pain appeared out of nowhere and I had to rush to the toilet a half hour later.

@lisalucier I don't have ulcerative colitis. Mine is collagenous (aka microscopic) colitis. Just as messy but with no cancer risk, ulcers, or pain other than knowing where bathrooms are. @cardigan should get the back pain checked out by a doctor to rule out the cause(s). If no known, then PT can help strengthen back and pelvic muscles and therefore relieve or rid yourself of that pain.
