Good luck with your treatment. I'm beginning year 4 out here in Southern California. I hope you have a good provider; thats the key. Make sure you have your iced booties and mittens during treatment. I'm off chemo now (gem-abraxane) as I was on 3 weeks in a row and it gave me severe inflammation of bladder and I also got internal neuropathy which I didn't even know was possible. I'm told it's a rare side effect. Taking gabapentin now for it; hope it works and I'll find out next week if I can continue a maintenance level of chemo. Chemo is my only hope (where is RMC 6236 when you need it?) as the cancer has spread to the abdominal peritoneum and gem/abraxane is the only solution for that, as far as I know. Still trying to enjoy life; make sure you have a good support group and prayer.

Thank you so much .. I intend to make this clinic thread my main course of support group.. my oncologist is getting a call shortly or the pod team extension. I need to have a heart to heart about the NO abraxane and just the benzene… I felt not to well last night..and I expressed several concerns over the port… done outside…and last my cancer androgen flag went from 4758 to 8754 with just dose one last week of the gemzare/abraxane…I feel she is an excellent oncologist but hard to reach as well as her NP…..hopefully I can get through to them today….may God Bless you
