@ellensm60 & @mnurse - Prolotherapy has been found to provide relief for some with arthritis - this is different from "prolozone injections" in non-clinical settings.

The bad news is that there is not yet a large enough body of proof to convince Medicare and insurance companies to cover this as a routine procedure, so the patient must pay. It typically takes years of evidence, and a number of research studies to "move the needle" and add covered treatments - but this is a good thing. It has not been around long enough to show that it is safe long-term, and that the relief lasts.

@sueinmn My husband was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in his shoulders and wrist about 5 years ago. A Chiro suggested he try prolotherapy . . . no promises as it does not always work. He decided to help with the pain, it was worth a try. He had 3 sessions, once a month, for 3 months. He is still pain free 5 years later. I hope you will find relief somehow.
