Hi,
My big problem is I don't react to medication withing the guidelines like most people do. Currently taking 0.6 of liraglutide which is supposed to start reducing your weight withnin the first week, I'm now 10 weeks in and not lost an ounce, not that I need to either. It has also raised my heart rate from the mid 60's to the high 70's consistantly. If I increase to 1.2 then I start getting aggressive and loose the will to do anything, none of which are noted side effects for this medication. I get the usual side effects severely, I was unable to move without wanting to vomit and reacted to anything I injested with great discomfort. At 0.6 I'm at least killing the 24/7 hunger pains I have been putting up with and I haven't experienced any bouts of paralysis while on it. So a mixed bag of results. I'm now down to 2 ham sandwiches per day with 4 cups of tea and 2/3 oat biscuits, any of it causes a reaction in the stomach. Just hope it will get better with a little time.
Frankly my kidneys are the least of my worries, there is enough left to see me through without doing anything stupid.
Cheers

@cheyne Please be careful with the sodium that is probably present in those ham sandwiches! That's something we need to watch when we have kidney disease.
