@healthalainl hi, I'm new to this forum, desperately trying to find help for my terrible hip and lower back pain. Osteoarthritis. I have had corticosteroid shots and they were very helpful but dr won't give me any more
Went to pain management and dr wants to give me shot in my spine, I told her I had one some years ago and it did no good and I asked for a corticosteroid shot and was extremely rude with me and abruptly left the room. I take 1000mg Ibuprofen and 600mg acetaminophen and 800mg gabapentin but it barely touches to pain any more.
I use heat and ice.
I am barely moving.
Looking for anti inflammatory diet and herbs 😑

You can get prolozone injections -see you tube videos -it’s oxygen , vitamins ans minerals - rebuilds bones and cartilage /unfortunately insurance doesn’t usually cover it /but it’s life changing

@ellensm60 & @mnurse - Prolotherapy has been found to provide relief for some with arthritis - this is different from "prolozone injections" in non-clinical settings.
You can take a look here if you would like the scientific perspective:

The bad news is that there is not yet a large enough body of proof to convince Medicare and insurance companies to cover this as a routine procedure, so the patient must pay. It typically takes years of evidence, and a number of research studies to "move the needle" and add covered treatments - but this is a good thing. It has not been around long enough to show that it is safe long-term, and that the relief lasts.
