@maroa , I'm sorry to hear that this follow-up CT didn't show better results. Your feelings are valid, it's always scary to receive results like these, but especially for you having seen your mother pass away from lung cancer. Treatments have come a long way since your mother's time with this disease. We are living longer and longer due to new treatments and there are new ways to address the side effects of treatment too. The new nodules on the CT scan don't mean that this is cancer for sure. There is still hope that this is something else; infection, fungal, inflammation.
Do you have a doctor appointment scheduled to discuss the findings yet? Are they talking about another scan after X number of months or doing a biopsy?

Hello. And yes. My pulmonologist sent me a email saying we will discuss it March 20 but that he definitely wants me to do 3 month scans. Haha it was only my 2nd 6 month scan. It started as copd 2 years ago, hospital visit 7 nights,3 in ICU. I quit smoking,2 years ago. I've had 3 pulmonologist appointments and 2 scans since then and nothing being said says to me,great job on quitting smoking. I feel I was better off smoking but deep down I know that's not true.... I just wish there are answers to my silly questions. Like is this cancer,? I take a huge amount of Albuterol and corticosteroid breathers. My gp said in Dec gosh your lungs sound so good and clear breath a few more times for me to enjoy it. Haha any advise I love to listen and appreciate it.
