@kh4976 Good morning, How did your experience and biopsy go? Have you had to have surgery/radiation, etc., for what they originally found from your Mammogram? I am going through this process, as well. The biopsy will be performed on Feb 13th so the results probably won't be in until the following Wednesday. I'm hoping that this is an area of distortion due to prior radiation in that breast for DCIS two years ago. If so, from what I've read on other sites, they may recommend the excision of that area. We'll see. I carry the Chek2+ genetic mutation which Memorial Sloan Kettering has found to be Pathogenic. There is an area on the other breast they will be Biopsing as well - looks like it could be DCIS. The Radiologist stated that because the location of the Architectural Distortion (AD) is "in a very difficult area to reach" and the other one in a "difficult" area, that there may be some discomfort and pain as well as more time on the table than I have previously experienced/required.
Anyone else in this forum who has had AD in the same previously radiated breast? What did they find and how was this treated? Thank you.

Dearest Healing Sorority Sis of a different kind. My thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes to you.
Sorry, I can not reply intellectually. However, 2022 Had chemo| mastectomy\reconstruction|radiation, right breast with 10 nodes removed from stage 2. Feb 4th, I have my Happy Healthy 6-month check-up with the team, along with labs, mammograms, etc. I was 19 or 20 when diagnosed with fibrocystic breast 1973-74. USC stated i have 1/1 chance of breast cancer in my 20's. They wanted to do an immediate double mas on me. Define interventions dr came in said, I have a choice. Can wait until needed. Took about 46 yrs to be diagnosed with stage 2 I refer to Quarantine Pandemic cancer.
I spent my 30-60's doing mamms with suspicious aka distortions. I thought I had biopsy at this young age. Then 2022 was told I had a lumpectomy. Scaring, calcification raised concerns when diagnosed. Thankfully, the 12 hr surgery was only 8 hrs . The Team, visiting Teams in glee. nipple saved, distortion from the first biopsy and the one in 50's. I spent my life monster mashing the what-ifs and focused on what is and waited for results vs results from Google, well meaning sifi folks. Mine was not genetic. However, my cousin in her late 40's has the gene from her mom. She, too, had distortions and chose to have a double mastectomy. The blessing was, she said, told husband, Cuz C, survived I will do surgery regardless of the results.
Hope this helps. You Sorority Family and all of those who know you will have you in positive prayers and thoughts. Lifting you in prayer and answers to comfort you.
