I've used a standard athletic percussion massager with the large ball accessory to make it less agressive.
It's been quite effective for reducing my toe and foot zings and tingles from PN.
I also use it to massage my shins and (gently) calves. These areas contain trigger points that refer to the top and bottom of the foot, and the nerves that carry that pain up from your feet. You can also find these trigger points with your fingers, thumbs or massage tools. Just don't try to work out a knot all at once. Take it slow.
You can get a reasonably good percussion massager for under $100, and they come in handy for most regular aches and pains too.

I also use a massager with the ball. I make sure to get the tops and bottoms of my toes, and the outside of my feet. Then inside and top, gently.i work as much omy lower leg as possible. After my fun in July of 25, I do my whole leg. I also hand massage all I can reach. I exercise, nerve floss and see a cranial sacral therapist. I still have issues that I need to overcome, I am in a better place.
