Hi, some of you know my disabled autistic , nonverbal , epileptic daughter, sigmoidectomy 2024 with difficult recovery 2025,now on Lactulose 3x day, Miralax once in am
Has bronchitis, put on doxycline and wondering has anyone used these two drugs at same time, what effect does it have on stools?
Also she's never had a colonoscopy but after the anastomosis plus prep ( very hard on her with disability) the scope,I'm wondering how effective Color guard would be?
I'm always looking to the diagnosis and the treatment if need be so hesitant to do more testing
She turns 50 this weekend..
Thank you all

@minajo - I moved your post to this existing discussion of post sigmoidectomy:

To confirm I and others in this discussion understand what you are asking, you want to know if she can take polyethylene glycol 3350 (Miralax), lactulose and doxycycline simultaneously? And if the Cologard early cancer detection test would work okay for her after her surgery?
