How best to sleep with bilateral sciatica

Posted by kmfdallas @kmfdallas, Jan 22 10:24am

I am having a hard time to find the best position to sleep when I am in pain. Try many positions but within a few minutes pain intensifies. Looking for advice

You may have to invest in a quality recliner or sleeping chair like I did. I couldn't sleep laying down in a bed after having 2 spinal fusion procedures done on my neck, along with osteoarthritis pain in my knees and hips. We tried every kind of pillow and sleeping arrangement we could think of, until we shopped for a sleeping chair at a local furniture store. The first one we purchased worked so well that we ordered a second one for the living room. It's been over 10 years now since I've been able to sleep in the same bed with my wife.

A zero gravity recliner may help. I’d also look into following the Gokhale Primal Posture method. Following it essentially eliminated my sciatic pain.
