@lgreg, yes I experienced significant hair loss with Alendronate 35, and interestingly, not as much hair loss with Alendronate 70. I had to go on drug holiday from Alendronate 70 because I had been taking it for 5 years. I tried Tymlos, but I had very bad side effects, so I asked my doctor if I could go back to Alendronate. With hesitation (he wanted me to go on Evenity or Prolia, but I don't want to, because of possible side effects), he prescribed Alendronate 35. He did caution me about possible effect on my jaw bone from prolonged use of Alendronate. After a month, I decided, because of the significant hair loss and the possible effect on my jaw bone, to stop Alendronate 35 also. I am currently on AlgaeCal Plus and AlgaeCal Strontium, protein pills, exercise, and improved diet. I am also on physical therapy for osteoporosis to learn how to do strength and weight training safely. We'll see. PS: I have severe osteoporosis, but thankfully have never experienced any fractures.

@yds thank you so much for response. I take so many meds I’m never sure which one is causing a particular side effect. I can almost watch my hair fall out. I’ve had some hair loss from several meds but this is by far the worst with Alendronate!
