Is it ok to take Viagra while on ADT? Alcohol?

Drinking alcohol with ADT can cause more intense side effects like hot flashes, fatigue, osteoporosis.

When I first was on ADT, I had no idea that was true and drank a margarita when I came home and had wine or beer with dinner. Never had any fatigue, but terrible hot flashes. I’m on bone strengtheners since I started ADT so osteoporosis wasn’t a problem.

As for Viagra, not a problem. It may not work as well since ADT takes away your desire and your ability to have erections, but some people have no problem with it. You might have to take more Viagra. You should speak to a doctor about that, What’s the most you can take safely? Of course 100mg Is a standard dose, Do you have any health issues That could be affected by Viagra use?

If you are open minded, you and your wife will find a new level of intimacy while on ADT.
I'm 73 and have had 2 shots Degarelix (Firmagon®) and now Leuprolide (Lupron®). I only have 5 of 28 radiation treatments remaining.
My significant other and I spend a LOT more time snuggling and she's good at arousing me. However, I can't maintain an erection long enough for significant penetration. What happens next? We snuggle some more, maybe with a body oil massage thrown in for good measure.
Once you realize there's a lot more to sex that an excretion, intimacy will grow.
I've may have experienced a dry orgasm without erection (I'm told such a thing exists). but she says I haven't. Just means we'll be trying again soon!

I don’t think mixing alcohol and Viagra is a good idea - you can become extremely hypotensive and faint - never good for achieving an erection😉.

I was specifically put on Viagra while on ADT to help maintain penile blood flow. My dosage was 20 mg per day with a 100 mg "challenge dose" once or twice a week.
