Yes, you can improve your bone density without medication. The question is, how much improvement do you need? If your T-score is something like -4.0, you need meds. No vitamins, no exercise is going to get you out of that hole. If your score is -2.5, then sure, you can first try other methods before resorting to meds.

@njx58 that’s just I am doing…possible that prior treatments might have caused some of it….each of us does our own research and set up our own new routines, with special care about balance, and paying better attention wherever we are.

@njx58 actually that’s not quite true in my case. My dexascan score was -4.5 at lumbar spine. However I am very small framed with no history of fractures ? Aged 75 yrs female . Been fit all my life . No history of fractures in mother or sibling. My surgeon recently performed L4/5 spinal fusion and told me my bones were strong !! I am eight weeks post op. I take fortibone and eat sensibly plus small calcium but D supplement. Can’t exercise at moment due to op . I still have fingers crossed but am hopeful .
