I was wondering if any colostomy patients have a mound in their belly around stoma? I had surgery a year ago and it’s annoying to have that area raised
It’s where my cut and loop is. I wondered if anyone had a flat area around their stoma

@lrandall51 Yes I do have a mound on the side that has the stoma The other side is flatter I use a Coloplast Mio light convex flower shaped appliance and it works well for me I use a one piece disposable unit but it does come in two piece The number on mine is 18171

@lrandall51 I think the area around my stoma is at the exact same height as my stomach. I wouldn't call it flat exactly but then I don't exactly have a youthful figure at 84.
If your area is raised, perhaps you might try one of those appliances designed for that. I know Coloplast makes a concave one with a sort of flower shape around the outside. They will send you free samples to try. But then no doubt you probably are aware of all of that.
