Pain in legs after the procedure?

Hi,

After my first TURBT procedure, after arriving home and for the next two days my calves and legs felt so weird. I had difficulty walking with slight pain. It finally cleared up but I was not aware there would be a side-effect like this.

About two or three weeks ago after having the second cystoscopy, my urologist was a bit surprised that five tumors were present. He then told me that he could burn them off and the larger would be biopsied. This was done and all seemed OK. Then a week or more I began to get terrible calf and leg pain. I can not say whether or not this is related in any way. Perhaps this is attributed to some other matter. At any rate, I will go to my GP to discuss this with him.

I admire the collective bravery and inner strength of all members in this group. I aspire to emulate this, if at all possible.

Best wishes.

@deidre77 I’m confused. You describe having “terrible calf and leg pain”. You also are wondering if the pain in legs is associated with a procedure you’ve had. You mentioned TURBT, cystoscopes and a procedure to “burn off and biopsy” tumors that were found during cystoscopy. You’ve had several procedures and it isn’t clear whether the pain you’re experiencing is associated with any of them. Have you discussed this with your provider? If you are comfortable with this could you let us know what your GP says? Moving forward it is important to ask questions about risks, benefits, side effects …etc. of a procedure before it is done so you know what to expect. There should also be a follow up plan for after a procedure to make sure any complications are dealt with and that the procedure has been successful.
