@rashida: I understand your concern. While you may not require a Pap smear, regular follow up checks for lichen sclerosis (LS) is a good idea. Although quite rare, vulvar melanoma has some potential predisposing conditions of which LS can be one. Your medical provider likely performed a thorough exam last time you had one but can you call to schedule another based on your history?
