@pacathy Glad to hear you hired out the removal of the leaves and mowing. I haven't mowed in years but in 2020 when all was shut down I used the leaf blower to clear leaves away from the foundation of the house...very dry leaves and probably lots of bacteria etc. blowing up and not realizing it. I did not think to wear a mask...can't remember if we had been told to wear masks in general at that time due to Covid. I had not been diagnosed with BE at that time and did not realize I had a problem due to the PCP thinking nothing of my bringing up a green gel like 'pus' like substance every once in a while. Well in 2022 BE diagnosed finally. I'm sure the leaf blowing made it all worse and added to the few things I did that probably started and contributed to it to start with.....a good couple of years previously to 2020.
For me it has always been easy to bring up the mucus, I am fortunate in that respect. After two years and four months of knowing what to do with BE and the clearing of the mucus and my mucus plugs....I feel I am finally getting the hang of what is best for me to do and how to do the chores of clearing my lungs and all associated with what we have to do. Probably more to learn as I go along due to the possible unexpected that has a tendency to happen no matter how careful we are.
I want to have the shield for that 'just in case' possibility and the desire to get back into working in the yard's flower beds. Have not done much the last two years, I hired it all out. I'm not the best at growing vegetables, but going to try again.
Thanks for all your communications.
