I've had chronic calf pain, in both legs, for over a year. I too have a host of excuses. In the end, moving, walking, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic care, stretching, and Tylenol, seem to have helped the calf pain calm down. It hasn't gone away, but the pain has definitely decreased.

Neuropathy is such a cruel disease. To look at me, you'd never know I have chronic pain. I often refer to my pain as "another one of Alice's mysterious aches and pains."

Hello @alicelynne, Welcome to Connect. Neuropathy can be a cruel disease but I definitely am going to borrow your description on how you refer to your neuropathy when talking to others 🙂. It's good to hear that you have found ways to manage the pain which is the goal for all of us that have neuropathy. I'm fortunate to only have the numbness and some tingling but none of the pain. I do have pain from other sources so I can add neuropathy as "another one of John's mysterious aches and pains".

How long have you been diagnosed or dealing with neuropathy?

Ah, @alicelynne, there's one of PN's core problems, or as Hamlet would have said, "There's the rub!" You state it well: "Neuropathy is such a cruel disease. To look at me, you'd never know I have chronic pain." Hardly a day goes by when I'd not tongue-tied trying to explain to a friend why I'm not able to do something – do something as wholeheartedly as I might like or would have done years ago: Why I'm not eager to ride the Loop-the-Loop or walk the balance beam. 🙂 Again, beautifully said, @alicelynne! Have a fine weekend. Cheers! –Ray (@ray666)
