1 Reaction@cxracer, I'm not surprised. There's a lot of information as well as misinformation circulating about ivermectin, fenbendazole and other repurposed drugs and their use as a treatment for cancer. These things seem to spread like wild fire on social media claiming cure with wild headlines. These articles get shared and reshared, and soon you find yourself thinking either "there must be something to this." or "maybe I should pay attention. Is this something I should be doing?"
These kinds of articles follow a formula with click-bait titles and other tactics. This is an article that Mayo Clinic wrote to help:

You might also appreciate this clear and well-written article about repurposed drugs like the ones you're asking about and the research to date.

9 ReactionsI have read numerous stories online about these miracle cures brought about by these drugs; read many papers about current research on them; and have even been told stories to my face about a friend of a friend who blah, blah…
But I personally have never, ever met a single person who told me directly that he successfully cured his Pca with anti parasitics. Would LOVE to meet one!
I have, however, met and know individuals who used ivermectin during Covid; some recovered from the virus after a few weeks, as most do. Some required hospitalization, as some do; and probably some died, but no one that I personally knew.

5 ReactionsI'm realistically not counting on any oral medication or supplement to cure my prostate cancer, but if any of these three, (FenBen, IVR, Lactoferin), had any real-world results with slowing or fighting prostate cancer, I'd be willing to test drive them. That's why I posed the original question. That's all. Thanks for your responses. After consulting with Mayo, it sounds like RP (surgery) is in my near future.

3 Reactions@colleenyoung Thanks for bringing common sense into the discussion about totally unorthodox therapies vis-a-vis proven protocols, especially in the wake of the death of the creator of Dilbert.
