I also have Squamous cell carsinoma on my legs.
I am under care of an Oncologist and Dermatologist.
My oncologist at Mayo recommended chemo therapy pills, Capecitabine. It is a pill you take 7 days on 7 days off.
The side effect I am having is itching, it's awful.
I am using Cera/ve moisture cream and Triamclinolone.alternate all day.
I'm thinking I may have an allergy to the chemo drug?
Any suggestions?

@lips702: I have also had SCCs but I’ve never treated with Capecitabine. However, I’d strongly advise you to contact your medical provider about the side effect you’re experiencing to see what their professional recommendation is. Can you let me know what they say?

@lips702 I have neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer that has spread to my liver and bones primarily. A few weeks ago, I had my 13th Mohs for a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. I also have had Mohs for squamous cell carcinomas. I have been on capecitabine for 3.5 years for my neuroendocrine cancer. What dose pill are you taking? How many times a day are you taking it? How many pills do you take each time? I am on a 14 day on and 14 day off cycle. I still get itching, so it isn't uncommon. Initially, it was way worse. I now "moisturize" regularly with Cera Ve moisturizing cream. It works better for me than Triamcinolone.
